INTEGRATED ANTENNA MAST
SYSTEM IAM is a groundbreaking tactical integrated antenna mast that revolutionises man-portable communications. The IAM is manufactured from a lightweight and strong composite material with a highly efficient dipole antenna embedded in the construction. A user simply unrolls the mast, connects it to their radio and starts transmitting. The 3.5m IAM is extremely light and compact and weighs just 1.9kg (4.2lbs) with a rolled size of just 15 x 15 x 15cm (6 x 6 x 6″). The mast can either be handheld, supported with guy ropes, or elevated via the rigging point. The 3.5m IAM enables dismounted personnel to quickly access high performance communications infrastructure in challenging environments and scenarios.
This design of the tactical integrated antenna mast ensures there is no conductivity or signal loss when in contact with grounded objects. The high efficiency of the omni-directional antenna delivers significant increases in range capability and performance for VOR communications compared to traditional equipment. To further enhance the system’s capability, ancillary kits are available to allow the mounting of additional lightweight antenna to the top of the mast. Expanding the system to L-Band capability for example, enables the mast to be used in a wider range of applications such as telemetry, aircraft surveillance and GPS. Satellite and mobile phone communications also become available in this frequency spectrum.
SYSTEM IAM 3.5m is available in two versions (VHF & UHF) to match operational frequencies and each version is available in four colours. A 7m version is also available.
‘SQUAD’ IAM: Frequency range 30-300MHz
‘TEAM’ IAM: Frequency range 136-470MHz
